Henderson Performs At York College's Men's Conference
Larry "Lak" Henderson, The Hiphop Educator, performed for black and hispanic male students from New York City high schools during York College's Annual Men's Conference.
Henderson's songs about Martin Luther King, Jr., black inventors, kings and queens of Africa and inspirational songs like "Black Men Rock!" and "I Am Because We Are," empowered the students as they partook in the theme of "Black, Brown and College Bound."
The event is sponsored by the York College Male Initiative Program. Other featured guests included Kevin Powell and Minister Abdul Hafeez Muhammad (both pictured above).
